Getting Started

Your first 10 minutes with VerityWriter — create a Brand Persona and ship your first piece.

1. Create an account

Sign up at veritywriter.com. You can use Google OAuth or email + password. New accounts come with free credits so you can try the full pipeline without a credit card.

2. Set up a Brand Persona

Brand Persona is the foundation — every generation reads from it so output sounds like you.

  1. Go to Brand Persona in the sidebar.
  2. Click + New Brand Persona.
  3. Pick an archetype (Sage, Hero, Outlaw, etc.) — this shapes the AI's general tone.
  4. Fill the tone sliders (formality, humor, energy).
  5. Paste 1-3 writing samples (hooks, script segments, or full scripts). This is the single highest-impact step.
  6. Click Generate voice brief — the AI creates an XML voice brief that flows into every prompt.

3. Scan what's rising in your niche

Open Trend Radar in the sidebar.

  1. Enter your niche keyword (e.g., "personal finance", "true crime", "AI news").
  2. Pick which platforms to scan (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, RSS, etc.).
  3. Wait 1-2 minutes for results.
  4. Sort by velocity score — this surfaces content that's rising fast, not just popular.

Click any video to see its transcript, key insights, and creator info.

Open Canvas in the sidebar.

  1. Click + New Kit.
  2. Pick a content pillar and a trending topic (from Trend Radar or your own).
  3. Pick a reference — an existing video or article that inspires the angle.
  4. Click Generate. You get a ready-to-post carousel in 1-2 minutes.
  5. Edit any slide individually — text, images, layouts are all components, not locked images.
  6. Export as PNG slides or a platform-sized ZIP.

5. Generate long-form content in Docs

For magazine-style articles, video scripts, or slide decks longer than 10-15 pages:

  1. Open Docs in the sidebar.
  2. Click + New Doc and pick the type (ebook, deck, or script).
  3. Pick sources (URLs, investigation results, or paste text).
  4. Approve the blueprint (TOC).
  5. Generate chapters — each is editable with AI chat built right in.
  6. Export as PDF, DOCX, or ZIP bundle.

6. Plan ahead with Content Calendar

Once you have a few pieces, move to batching:

  1. Open Content Calendar.
  2. Create a calendar tied to your persona and pillars.
  3. Plan posts per day/week.
  4. Generate in bulk (coming soon) or link to existing Canvas/Docs output.
